At Transport Lyon, as a legal entity, we take our ethical commitment to the community very seriously, which is why we ensure the integrity of our business and always meet our fiscal responsibilities.
Permits and accreditations
Transport Lyon holds all permits issued by the Commission des Transports du Québec (CTQ). For several years, we also been members of the Association du Camionnage du Québec (A.C.Q.), as well as of the Board of Trade of Metropolitan Montreal (BTMM) and East-end Montreal Board of Trade (EMBT).
Insurance
Transport Lyon is insured by ING Insurance Company of Canada.
- Liability insurance: 5 million (umbrella)
- Storage insurance: up to $500,000
- Insurance on the shipment: $400,000 per truck

Make sure you carefully evaluate your merchandise or your furniture and declare a value when booking your move or transportation.
Please note that if no value is declared, you are automatically covered according to the weight transported at the rate of $2.00/lb/item.
Social involvement
Every year, Transport Lyon takes part in promotional activities for the Fondation Centre de cancérologie Charles-Bruneau. After participating in the Tour CIBC several times (see the video made during the 2010 event), in 2014 Transport Lyon took part in two days of fishing in the Parc de la Vérendrye. This event, held on August 8 and 9, was attended by a dozen people and raised nearly $13,000.
